Casual on going position

 

 

Day Shift $21.25 casual rate + OT

 

 

 

Our client is leader in the field of used Lead Acid Battery recycling. A well established organisation with its main business activities involving around smeltering of materials as a means of producing lead alloys.

 

 

We are seeking a responsible individual accustom to physically challenging work. Someone with previous experience in a furnace environment or heavy industrial processing would take well to this rewarding role.

 

 

The position title is a (Battery Pusher) which requires two operators to manually shift car and truck batteries onto a conveyor for processing. Tasks are rotated between the other battery pusher and a forklift driver.

 

 

Due to the Lead content on this site, the company are very firm in all site OH&S requirements. Because of this, it is mandatory within the manufacturing plant that all PPE is worn including respirators, therefore requiring all employees to be clean shaven for proper usage. It is also standard procedure for monthly blood testing to monitor employee Lead levels, if higher then usual lead levels are detected those employees will be unable to work on site until lead levels are back to normal.

 

 

The position involves rotating shifts, both day and afternoon with weekend work and plenty of overtime.
